About the design
One peacock feather sweeps across the whole rug, its ink-blue eye ringed in teal and gold, its barbs flowing out to every edge in soft sage, teal and muted gold. The colours blend gently into one another, and a soft sheen in the eye catches the light. Rich yet calm, it brings colour and movement to dining rooms, studies and hotel lounges.
Inspired by
The peacock feather was a favourite motif of the late-19th-century Aesthetic Movement, as in Arthur Silver's "Hera" design for Liberty of London.
