About the design
A lobed ivory medallion, set with blush flowers and pale sage leaves, sits at the centre of a soft lavender-grey field, with pendants above and below and matching corner spandrels. Fine vines and small blossoms drift across the open field, and a wide ivory border of palmettes frames the whole. A classic Tabriz-style layout in unusually light colours, it suits drawing rooms, bedrooms and boutique hotels.
Inspired by
Tabriz in north-west Iran is one of the oldest rug-weaving centres, known for formal medallion designs.
