About the design
A many-pointed star medallion in ivory and pale gold glows at the centre of a soft ice-blue field, surrounded by fine palmettes, blossoms and curling vines. Pale gold corners traced with navy arabesques and a wide ivory border frame the design. Light, luminous and finely drawn, it suits drawing rooms, libraries and elegant hotel suites.
Inspired by
Shah Abbasi palmettes are named after Shah Abbas I, whose reign (1588–1629) is seen as a high point of Persian carpet weaving.
